This blog exists to share the daily progress of my wife Janet in her recovery from a ruptured brain aneurysm May 15, 2012 in Kelowna BC. It is by the grace of God that Janet was found, diagnosed, treated and supported by so many professional and caring people along the way. Progress has been slow but steady and through prayer, encouragement, education, interaction and your love and support she will recover. I appreciate you following this blog and encourage your participation.

  1. Larry, thank you for sharing your journey with us. We have been praying daily and we commit to continued daily prayer for Janet’s ongoing recovery. We are in awe… the power of love has inspired us today. We love you bro.

  2. I will continue to follow your journey here. Thank you for the updates. Much love and prayers to all of you.

  3. Larry – I am learning through you about Janet’s journey. I see your strength, your humour, and love in all that you write. We think about you both daily, and all the kids, and we send love, strength, prayers and positive thoughts each day. Thank you for sharing this blog. Suzanne & Jac

  4. Hi Larry! Jac provided me with this link and I think it is absolutely amazing that you are bloging about Janet’s progress and journey. I think of you and your family and send my best wishes. She is an amazing strong woman and with the love and support you are providing she has the best possible chance. Thank you for sharing! Loralyn and Sofie

  5. Larry, I love reading your updates and think of Janet often.
I work at The Woman’s Place where she always came in with a smile and great energy.
Thinking of you and your family, thank you for sharing.

  6. Larry, I am hoping to find out if your dad Ralf was the gentleman in at Wexford Creek in south Nanaimo. I’ve been in to visit and if it was him, he was the highlight of each visit. Please let me know if this was your dad as I hope to be able to contact his family with my condolences.

  7. My daughter suffered a severe brain injury twenty years ago. It has been a difficult, but amazing journey. I look forward to following yours. All the best. Cheryl

  8. My son, then 25, was stabbed through the brain and left for dead. There was no hope, then when he survived, an appalling prognosis. That was 2009. He wrote the post on my blog yesterday.. Possum ergo facit… I can therefore I do. You can add my prayers to the list.

  9. Hi Larry, I just discovered this blog. I am really at a loss for words, but only to say that the power of the word is a great comfort to me as a reader and as I can see, for you and your family and friends. If I were going through your experiences with my own wife of 30 years, I would be a total waste. Reading this means that there is always a positive and spiritual avenue that can be explored – not all is hopeless. Good luck my friend and God speed to Janet..

  11. Hi Larry, I was posting a link to the blog for the students today and noticed the class picture and your comments. I really appreciate Janet coming to the class and it was great that you could speak with the class as well. It was a real educational experience for the students and I have been receiving very positive feedback from all the students. All the best to you and Janet! .
